Pumpkin Trail FAQ’s

Am I allowed to bring my dog(s)?

Yes, well-behaved doggies on leads are more than welcome on this Trail. However, for the safety of your pooch and other people walking the trail, please do keep you dog on the lead.

How much does it cost?

The Pumpkin Trail is free however we will have donation buckets at the gate, so if you fancy popping in £1 (or more..!) that would be fantastic as all the money raised goes to our three chosen beneficiaries.

Do I need a ticket for this Trail?

No, this is a free* event so no tickets are necessary.

What age is the Trail suitable for?

The games and activities are mainly aimed at children aged 11 and under, but this is a fantastic day out, with fun for all the family!

Is the Trail pushchair friendly?

The Trail is set in the great outdoors, the path is not paved or tarmac’d in anyway. This means there are tree roots making the ground a little uneven, and there’s also two sets of steps and a downward slope. For the most part it is manageable in a pushchair, and we will have stewards throughout the Trail to help you if you need it. We also have an area next to the entrance where you can park any buggies and pushchairs, if you’d like to let them walk the Trail once you get here. However, they will be left at your own risk, the Ilkley Scare Trails cannot be held liable for any loss or damage.

How long can we spend at the Trail?

You can go at your own pace round the Trail and go round as many times as you like, so depending on how many activities you get involved in, you could spend half an hour here or four hours! You could even come on both days if you really really enjoyed yourselves!

Can I volunteer for next years’ event?

Yes! As the profits from this event are entirely donated to our beneficiaries, we rely on volunteers to keep it running year after year. We have many different roles that need to be filled, from Scare actors, Stewards & Set-up team to Make-up artists & Marketing. Whatever your skills are, send us an email at ilkleyscaretrail@gmail.com and we’d love to you to involved.
